About Dr. Benjamin Dobbeck
I cut my clinical teeth as a therapist in psychiatric hospitals for both adults and adolescents in the 80’s and 90’s. After earning my Master’s degree in 1995, I continued my work with adolescents as the program director at a pair of residential facilities that treated teens with both substance use and mental health problems. Whether adults or teens, I witnessed how effective a skilled team of therapists and a thoughtful treatment plan can be in helping these individuals grow into wellness.
I earned my doctorate from George Fox University in 2000 and completed my internship at a residential treatment center for Native American teens in Keizer, OR. I became interested in clinical research while completing my residency at Summit Research Network in Portland, Oregon. My work in clinical research dominated my vocation for 17 years while I maintained a private practice on the side. I have five grown children and live in Seattle with my most wonderful wife, Pam. I enjoy cycling year-round, being part of a church community, and perfecting tiki drinks.
